Problem with money conversion

You dont need to turn on ‘Make entire post patron only’ option in Patron Pro setting there. Thats unneeded. Should be off.

Which version are your Patreon WordPress and Patron Plugin Pro?

Here are the versions of Patreon’s plugins:

That is very odd. Cloudflare is still active at the domain level i believe. Is ‘always online’ at Cloudflare on?

Also, does your host/server have opcode caching?

Our website guy sent me this, saying that there is no caching currently and everything is done via DNS.

Could the problem possibly be with the fact that it sets the precise amount to the field to 20$, and it can’t be removed? I mean this field:

It says it’s optional, but it’s always there. Maybe the wording is not that precise though and it means that it’s optional to set anything different from the selected tier’s amount.

The amount has nothing to do with it - the currency must be converted properly. Ie it must come from the api in dollars.

Is ‘always online’ on at cloudflare settings?

Sorry, I was just about to edit the message above to add the part about always on. Yes it was on, I’ve turned that off too now. I’ll ask that patron to try once again and get back here.

Still no luck.

Is this the only patron reporting this? Are there other different currency patrons able to access the content? (any content)?

You may create a test Patreon account with a different email, set currency to something else, and try pledging to unlock a $2 content at your site to do tests.

There are at least two confirmed patrons with this issue, one of them uses euro, and the other is using UK pounds. There are also several other patrons who use UK pounds and have this issue. There are no reports of this issue so far from people who use US dollars directly without conversion. I don’t have the data about how many people use other currencies and have/don’t have issues with the access, but it doesn’t seem like it affects everyone, only a fraction of patrons. But it happens consistently.

Okay, we’ll test it out with a fake account and I’ll report back when I have something to report.

Okay, so we’ve made a test account and pledged 4.5£ to get a Sailor (5$) tier:

Then, after opening the page that requires 5$ pledge to unlock, and pressing on this button:

it sends the user to the page that asks to update the pledge:

Here are the locking options for the page:

Cloudflare is turned off, as well as WP Fastest cache, and Patreon plugins are up-to-date:

Always online is turned off in Cloudflare settings:

Ok, this is pretty odd then. I’ll DM you about this.
