Hi - I am trying to gate content so that only members of a Free tier (and above) will have access. The plugin looks as though it will allow this; however, in testing, this does not seem to function and still requires a paid subscription. Has anyone had success getting this functionality to work?
For free tier and above, you can choose ‘Everyone’. That would make the content public.
I’m facing the same issue with free tier gating. I’ve set up a referral system where users need to receive a unique code connected to their Patreon account.
If I set access to ‘Everyone,’ the page becomes public, but users don’t get authenticated with Patreon, so they don’t receive their unique referral code.
If I set it to ‘Free Tier’ or ‘Any Patreon,’ the system redirects users to pay for the $5 ‘Beyond the Wall’ tier instead of recognizing their free membership.
Is there any way to authenticate free Patreon members without forcing them to upgrade to a paid tier? The core functionality I need is to verify they have a Patreon account (even free) and associate their unique referral code with it.
