Hello, over the last 4 days I have had a few users say that they were able to watch the gated content fine then all of a sudden it asked them it was locked. When they tried to reconnect their Patreon, they allow the connection and end up back at the page with the content still locked.

I checked the Patreon health tab and it said great, but I did notice several 401 errors. There are at least 20 of these in the last .77 days.

Just tried the above fix and it seemed to make no difference. Users still can’t unlock, and I still see the 401 connection errors.

Can you try unlocking the content (something like $1 locked) by using a new patron account you create with a different email?

I was able to get it to connect. It has only affected a handful of users so far. Their accounts were connected and they were able unlock posts until Monday. Now no matter how many times they try to unlock with Patreon, they just return to the locked post. I’ve tried deleted their Wordpress accounts and having them create accounts from scratch to no success.

No changes or updates to the site happened Sunday or Monday.

What is the currency of your creator account? Are these patrons using a different currency than your creator account?

Can you both post your current plugin info (at Support section in Patreon Settings) and your last 50 connection errors in Patreon settings -> Health check?

The api errors listed are pretty old.

Can you try updating Patreon WordPress to 1.6.7 from your WP plugin admin and check if this changes anything?

Problems with patrons not being able to access locked content started about 3 weeks ago but was less than 10 patrons per week, but today tons of problems and had to unlock content so many patrons could access.

These seem like users’ token refresh issues for their login via Patreon api. This would affect certain users whose tokens were not refreshed automatically by the plugin properly before their expiry.

I will look into this and likely i will provide you with an updated package which will address that tomorrow.

If you can take note of these users’ WP usernames until then, that could be useful.

Any update? Patrons still cannot access locked posts on my site. And Patron health check shows " Your Patreon integration health is great!" and no recent connection errors.

I am having the exact same issues as the previous creators. None of my patrons can access my gated content, and all of my settings are the latest updates.
